THE LAST PICNIC
Dare to tell
the truth
and you
they will
crucify.
Within this
equation
mixed with
deceit lies
the lie.
In silence it begins
to fertilize.
Returned
from beyond
shed of flesh
the naked dead
walk again.
Mistaking our saviour
for someone else
the cycle begins
anew. Keep the truth
to yourself
Share with no one
All eyes rise
to skies so blue.

I relish living in the last days of civilization.
And it's fair when it all turns a bit more harsh. I'm not quite ready, but I hope to be ready for the Last Picnic.
Your images are potent, especially for the Ancient Catholic in me.
Thank you steven.
I struck out the
final line: "All
eyes rise to the
sky". I like it
better now.
